Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through dowell-studio.com, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

The controller is Dowell LLC, Florida, USA, trading as Dowell Studio. Contact: hello@dowell-studio.com.

What we collect and why

Contact form and email. When you use the contact form or write to us, we receive what you send: usually your name, email, company or project, optional phone number, and your message. For Startup program applications this may also include your stage, market, traction, budget range and team size. The form sends your message by email to our team. We use it only to reply to you and, if we work together, to prepare and carry out the engagement.

  • Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • Retention: as long as needed for the conversation and any resulting engagement. If you do not become a client, we delete it within 24 months at the latest. Client records are kept as long as the law requires.

Analytics. We use a self-hosted, cookie-free instance of Umami to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not track you across sites.

Server logs. Our web server records technical data such as IP address, time, requested page and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. Logs are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies. See the cookie policy.

Where your data is stored

The site is hosted in the EU, with Hetzner. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with service providers we need to run the site and handle email, and only as far as necessary.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. Write to hello@dowell-studio.com and we will answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at aepd.es, or the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update this page and the date above.
