Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of dowell-studio.com and to applications to the Dowell Studio Startup program. Client projects are governed by their own written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms.

Information on this site

We work to keep the information here accurate and current, but it is general information, not a binding offer. Prices are starting prices (“from”), in euros and excluding VAT. Your actual price, scope and timeline are set in a written quote or agreement.

Intellectual property

The text, design and graphics of this site belong to Dowell LLC, except client names and logos, which belong to their owners and are shown with permission. You may link to and quote the site, but not copy it as a whole.

For client work, the intellectual property in what we build for you is yours unless your agreement says otherwise.

We link to other websites, including our sister brand SystemFlare and our clients. We are not responsible for the content of sites we do not run.

Startup program

These points apply to anyone who applies to or takes part in the Startup program:

  1. What the program is. The program offers mentoring, product engineering and opportunity-based support to prepare for investment, to selected applicants.
  2. No funding guarantee. Any reference to investment or investment partners is informational. It is not an offer, a solicitation, a promise or a guarantee of funding.
  3. Eligibility and screening. We review applications for strategic and legal fit, together with our investment partners. We may decline an application or end discussions at our discretion. We do not accept projects related to gambling or illegal activity.
  4. Confidentiality. Sending an application does not create an advisory or client relationship. Where deeper discussions need it, we sign a separate confidentiality agreement.
  5. Intellectual property. Your ideas and intellectual property stay yours. Each party keeps ownership of what it brings, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  6. Not advice. Program information and mentoring are not legal, tax or regulated financial advice. Speak to a qualified adviser for those.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
